What happens to your salary in a leap year?

Someone mentioned that next year will be a leap year, and that got me thinking, what happens to your salary during a leap year?
If you have to work on February 29th (eg if it falls on a week-day rather than a weekend), are you paid for it? It shouldn't be a problem for people who are paid hourly, but what about people who are paid a monthly salary?
