Would proportional representation mean the Conservatives would never be able to win an election?

If Proportional representation were introduced in Britain, some people are claiming it would mean that the Conservatives would never be able to win an election again. But why would it?

Isn't proportional representation the party with the most votes, not most seats wins - but in this election the Conservatives had by far the most votes, so why are they worried about this?

And also, in Germany they have proportional representation, but they have a conservative as leader so surely PR doesn't mean the right can never win?

What is a VPN?

VPN is (Virtual Private Network) were first used by companies to enable their employees to securely access internal systems such as email remotely (e.g. from home or while on business trips). Today they are increasingly being used for personal use by individuals to protect their privacy while online in public places (e.g. when using the wi-fi connection in a cafe) or in a country where the internet is censored / blocked (e.g. China, Saudi Arabia…).
